The second of our events this month was for the Business Initiative AGM 2009. The event was held in the atrium at knights llp solicitors. With wanting to create something slightly different to previous years, we decided to use 6 3m x 1m flag banners to provide the backdrop for the AGM. These provided a great impact for when people walked through the door.
We designed everything for the event, from the large format banners to the AGM report and PowerPoint presentation. As well as the design we also provided equipment hire and set up the event for Jill Levens and the team the previous day.
Just thought I’d keep you up to date on a couple of events we have designed and built over the past month.
The first was for CIF (Ceramic industry forum) and Birmingham City University who wanted an event to launch the ‘New Pathways Project’ – a £2.6 million initiative to help interiors and lifestyle businesses across the West Midlands region.
exesios designed everything for the event, from directional signage to brochures and bookmarks. The Event, which was held at the Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, was a huge success and had the great honour of having guest speaker Harry Reilly from Brintons carpets.
After a couple of busy months I have finally managed to get a few minutes to post something on our blog and show you a few things that we have been up to here at exesios.
The CIF website is now online and can be viewed at www.ciflean.co.uk

As part of our CSR commitment it was a pleasure to have a student from Painsley Catholic College for work experience last week.
Whilst here we showed him a few tricks of the trade using various software programs and introduced him to photography. Hopefully he enjoyed his time with us and learnt a few things in the process. At least we didn't put him off, as he is still keen on becoming a graphic designer.
(We're too kind here as we never made our tea boy make one cup of tea)

At the weekend Knights LLP Solicitors held a garden party to celebrate their 250th Anniversary. exesios was proud to play a part in celebrating this event by designing and producing a set of large format graphics to be positioned at the entrance.
Yesterday the Kier workers were treated to a celebratory evening to award them for their achievements. Locally this was the first of its type for Kier Stoke, being a refreshing change for ex-council employees.
The event was branded to suit its target audience and to reaffirm the corporate identity of the Kier Group. exesios designed and produced everything from the branding through to print.
‘Hats off to you’ gave a down to earth, friendly presence to the event. The cheeky Kier boot-steps added to the fun, light hearted atmosphere of the whole evening. It was enjoyed by all and went on right into the night.
The WISCM Trust Challenge Club started with a great success, with everyone having an amazing time, even Eleni and Claire, there only to take photographs, embraced the outdoor experience like pros.
exesios have not only designed and produced the outdoor banners (as seen on the photos), but have developed and manage the brand and overall media, print, radio and web for The WISCM Trust, MSL Mountaineering Ltd and Chunky Monki.
This week we were presented with not one but two beautiful bouquets of flowers, the exesios studio never smelled so sweet.
We would like to thank both Keele University and Newcastle under Lyme School for such a lovely gesture.
Our directors became radio stars this month when they were interviewed live on BBC Radio Stoke. The discussion involved the ins and outs of working as a husband and wife duo. Having worked as a couple for most of their lives, and sharing a home together, this just comes natural to them. Eleni and Paul were relaxed and as far as they were concerned they couldn’t see any reason not to work together. The interview expressed their quirky banter adding a quick glimpse to the listener of the eccentric nature of their personalities.
In keeping with our commitment to the ceramic industry, exesios commissioned local ceramic artist Nicola J Hulme of Opus Tessellatum to create an exclusive statement for our external facade.
As well as our ceramic signage we have also commissioned Nicola J Hulme of Opus Tessallatum to create some internal ceramic furnishings.
This weekend we put our large format prints up around the studio.
Emma Joustra's work is now up outside Granvilles in Stone.
Emma Joustra's latest art piece has been produced by exesios to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Granvilles in Stone.
A few more that we missed from the day.
To celebrate the launch of the new footbridge over the canal we designed, printed and supplied a series of
pull up banners for City Waterside, as well as the official launch invitations.
